A prayer chapel was consecrated in the Dnipropetrovsk geriatric boarding house. The divine liturgy was conducted by Metropolitan Simeon – the head of the Dnipro Diocese of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine together with other clergy. This small church, named after Saint Panteleimon the Healer, was created at the request of the residents of the geriatric boarding house. All of them quite often come here to pray, to receive moral support from the priest. After the solemn prayer, blessed diplomas were awarded to the employees of the geriatric boarding house. 605 wards live in this boarding house. These are elderly people, people with disabilities. They are constantly cared for by the employees of the Oleksandr Petrovsky International Charity Fund “Solidarity”. With funds from the fund, extensive repairs were made, and the best living conditions were created. On a symbolic day for all residents of the geriatric boarding house, representatives of the International Charity Fund of Oleksandr Petrovsky “Solidarity” were also present at the consecration of the temple. From now on, the residents of the geriatric boarding house, in addition to medical care, have strong spiritual support.
