The Ukrainian State Research Institute of Medical and Social Problems of Disability works on the rehabilitation of patients and persons with disabilities due to various diseases, with congenital defects of the musculoskeletal system. In addition, Ukrainian military personnel arrive at the hospital, so the doctors’ activities are focused on the recovery of our defenders.
To date, more than 100 military personnel are staying at the medical facility. After surgery, they undergo treatment and rehabilitation. Doctors restore our soldiers, bringing them back to normal life.
Specialists of this medical institution have their own experience and professional methods for the rehabilitation of people with disabilities, certain disabilities or injuries, but the material and technical base for complex operations is not enough. Most of the equipment is outdated and does not meet modern requirements.
The needs of the hospital were taken into account by the International Charitable Foundation of Oleksandr Petrovsky “Solidarity” by donating a multifunctional device for artificial lung ventilation. This is not the first time that the Foundation supports this medical institution.
Yana Ivanilova, vice-president of the Oleksandr Petrovsky International Charity Fund “Solidarity”, noted: “This hospital needs a lot of help. All interested people can join us.” Yana Ivanilova said that the day before, representatives of the “Solidarity” foundation also handed over thermal blankets, electric beds, mattresses and other things that the hospital needs.
Further cooperation of the “Solidarity” foundation with the research institute will be aimed at modernizing the medical facility and the necessary equipment, updating the operating unit.
