Special children who were forced to leave Donetsk region are received with warmth and care in our region. A real family has already been formed in the Dnipropetrovsk Children’s Boarding Home. On the eve of the Holy Trinity, the Oleksandr Petrovsky International Charitable Fund “Solidarity” together with the clergy of the Dnipropetrovsk Diocese of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine visited children with special needs and handed them goodies. “We brought cookies and ice cream – that’s what children want to eat the most in hot weather,” said Yana Ivanilova, vice president of the Oleksandr Petrovsky International Charity Foundation “Solidarity”. According to Valentina Bulgakova, the director of the Dnipropetrovsk Children’s Boarding Home, children are always waiting for the arrival of their friends – representatives of the Solidarity Foundation. Especially now, children need attention. In the Church of Saint Nicholas, which was built on the territory of the children’s boarding house with the funds of the president of the International Charity Fund “Solidarity” Oleksandr Petrovskyi, they performed a divine service and prayed for the children. Vitaly Lopushanskyi, rector of the Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos, secretary of the Dnipropetrovsk Diocese of the OCU, thanked the representatives of the “Solidarity” foundation for their constant assistance to children. “When we help special children and special people, we serve God,” said Vitaly Lopushanskyi.
