On the eve of September 1, the Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine was visited by children and parents whose relatives are considered missing or remain in captivity of the occupiers. The abbot of the temple, archpriest Vitaliy Lopushanskyi performed a prayer on the occasion of the beginning of the school year and sprinkled the children for success. These are difficult living conditions for children when their father, mother or relative remains trapped by the occupiers. Representatives of the Oleksandr Petrovsky International Charitable Foundation “Solidarity” came to support children and parents. Yana Ivanilova, vice-president of the foundation, handed over gifts for the children: stationery and souvenirs to inspire them to study. The families of the missing and captured Ukrainians came to the Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos from various cities and villages of the Dnipropetrovsk region: Pavlohrad, Synelnikovo, Kamianskyi. Their life in our region is also taken care of by the “Bereginia” public association. “We did not expect that representatives of the Solidarity Foundation would be present in the Temple, we are amazed, we thank them very much, we will pass all the gifts and God’s word to the children of our association,” said Alla Makukh, head of the public association “Bereginia” . With faith in victory, with God’s support and new strength, children will go to educational institutions, and we, adults, must support them, because children are the future of a new, peaceful Ukraine.
