On May 5, the Bishop of the Dnipropetrovsk Diocese, His Holiness Bishop Simeon, celebrated his birthday. On the occasion of the event, the Archpastor led the Divine Liturgy in the central diocesan temple in honor of the icon of the Mother of God "Unexpected Joy". He was assisted by Bishop Lugansk and Starobilsk Athanasius and Mitrofan - Bishop of Kharkiv and Bogodukhovsky.
After the liturgy, Bishop of Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih Simeon received greetings from his friends and parishioners. On this day, representatives of the authorities, various services of the city of Dnipro and the region, civic organizations, veterans and ATO warriors, servicemen and representatives of the Eastern command and others came to greet the leader of the Dnieper Diocese. They were joined by members of various levels, representatives of charitable and volunteer organizations and many other citizens and patriots of the Dnieper, workers of culture and art. They congratulated Bishop Simeon and the children of the Sunday School of the Ukrainian Courtyard, who presented to the Archpastor flowers and gifts made by their own hands. The event gathered many representatives of the clergy of the UOC-KP from across the Dnipropetrovsk region and representatives of the church from other regions of the country.
A solemn prayer and congratulations on friendly communication and a photo commemorative ended. And for the kids they made a nice surprise. Bishop Simeon personally presented ice cream to young residents of Dnipro on the occasion of the holiday!
