The National Championship of Ukraine 2019 on kiokushin karate took place in the Dnieper.
It has long been a tradition to trust the Championship of Ukraine, namely, the Kyokushinka Karate Federation of the Dnepropetrovsk region and personally to Garik Albertovich Melikyan in particular because the level of the event is always very high.
In addition, it is convenient for athletes to come to competitions also due to the geographical location of the Dnipropetrovsk region and the regional center. It is precisely in the spring that these competitions are more than ever important, because at the same time there is a selection for the European Championship, which this year will be held in the Polish city of Wroclaw. Well, the best athletes, of course, will be preparing for the World Cup, which will be held in Japan this year, too. The Dnieper tournament on the calendar plan approved by the Ministry is a priority in terms of assignment and sports titles. For example, the title of Master of Sports is assigned here for the 3 first places, not just for the 1st. This only underlines the high status of the competition in the Dnieper.
So, on March 16, 2019, more than 300 participants from 10 regions of Ukraine, including Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, Kiev, Volyn, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Lugansk, Donetsk, Lviv and, of course, Dnepropetrovsk, took part in the sports complex of Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology in the grand opening of the Championship of Ukraine on Kyokushin Karate.
120 athletes from Sinelnikovo, Krivoy Rog, Kamensky and Dnipro represented the Dnepropetrovsk region national team. At the opening there were many distinguished guests and distinguished people from the world of sports and kyokushin in particular. Unfortunately, for a good reason President of the Kyokushin Karate Federation of Ukraine Shekhan Stanislav Bliznyuk could not personally attend. As you know, he always goes to all competitions, attestations, fees and makes a great contribution to the development of our sport in Ukraine and abroad.
The leadership was represented by the Secretary General of the Karate Kyokushin Federation of Ukraine Alexander Goldobin, Vice-President of the Karate Kyokushin Federation of Ukraine, Chief Judge of the Competition Garik Melikyan and Vice-President of the Karate Kyokushin Federation of Ukraine Shihan Viktor Maximov. And also the Head of department of sports and physical culture of the Dnepropetrovsk regional state administration Alexander Pshenichnikov, the official partner of the federation and patron Timur Gogitidze, sensei Oleg Ovechkin, the deputy of the City Council Nikolay Slobodyanyuk, the director of KZ "Sport-Invest" Valery Shilo and many others.
The competitions were held in 4 age categories (from 6 years): adolescents, juniors, adults (18 to 35 years) and veterans (over 35 years). About the results later, and the competitions themselves were conducted on four tatami both in the "Kumite" section and in the "Kata" section. The level of training of the fighters was really high. The fights in all weight categories and ages were intense, dynamic and interesting. Almost every rival is a champion of Ukraine or a European medalist. This indicates a high bar of competitions.
The Vice-President of the Karate Kyokushin Federation of Ukraine, Chief Judge of the Competition, the President of the Board of Trustees of the NFCCU Melikian Garik Albertovich in particular noted - “A tremendous work has been done by the National Federation and the Organizing Committee of the Federation of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast for the sake of this event. Today the best athletes from all over the country came together to be selected for further participation in competitions within the national team of Ukraine. They are here to prove that they are proud to represent their homeland in the European Championship this year.
It is always a pleasure for them to come to Dnipro because the Federation of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast is the leader in Ukraine. I will repeat that the most enormous work has been done: selection of specialists, personnel, judges. We have a beautiful hall here, where all participants, representatives, spectators and very convenient infrastructure are freely located, convenient for everyone. The participants of the competition were provided with food and all the conditions, so I think everyone was happy. The Dnepropetrovsk Regional Federation of Kyokushin Karate is the best in Ukraine and represents our region with dignity at the All-Ukrainian International Starts. "
Note also the excellent work of the Executive Director of the FCCC, Sensei Zaur Mammadov, who has done a large amount of organizational and competition issues.
The competition ended with the awarding of the best Kyokushins. The winners were presented with certificates, original Cups and medals in all categories. From the official partner of the federation and philanthropist Timur Gogitidze the best fighters of the championship and all the champions received cash prizes and prizes. According to Timur Gogitidze - such support of athletes will help stimulate them to new successes and will promote the development of sports and the progress of kioskushin in particular, in our country.
The Federation thanks for its help in organizing the tournament to the partners of the federation, sports nutrition producer “Power Pro” and patron Timur Gogitidze.
