Ukrainian wrestlers triumphant at the international Polish tournament
At once, twelve skilled fighters from Ukraine - eight Lviv residents and four Ternopil people - won the international Polish freestyle wrestling tournament dedicated to the memory of Stanislav Red. There was a sporting event in Warsaw.
Traditionally, participants of large-scale competitions were young fighters from 1999 to 2008, and the geography of the tournament covered Ukraine, Poland, Latvia and Belarus. The dreamy "gold" in the weight category up to 24 kgs was received by Ternopilyan Pavel Ilnitsky. The winner of the championship title in the category up to 33 kilograms became Yegor Tykhy, and to 58 kg - Vasyl Ilnitsky. "Silver" in the weight category up to 27 kilograms was awarded to Taras Drabuk. It is worth noting that all the above athletes are residents of Ternopil.
Among Lviv gold medals were won by such fighters as Maxim Kurii, Dmitry Skipor, Roman Strizhik and Alexander Stratilatov in the categories up to 85, 63, 35, 35 and 30 kg. Konstantin Klimshin, Andrii Stryzhik, Maxim Olshanets'kyi and Roman Dmytryshyn, in turn, won the bronze in the tournament. It is important to add that in the team standings it was the team of Lviv who won the third place prize.
