Brilliant performance by Judo representatives of Dneprovsky sports club "Judo-80" in the British Isles
The European Judo Championships for athletes with impaired vision have ended in Walsall (UK). The national team of Ukraine in the team standings became the third after Russia and Azerbaijan. We have 3 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze.
Representatives of Dnipropetrovsk region also differed. Members of the Judo-80 sports club David Chorava and Alexander Nazarenko, who favor the Dnipropetrovsk and Rivne regions, go home with medals.
David won the European Championship Weight -66 kg, winning the title of Continental Championship for the first time. Earlier in his assets were two silver and bronze of the European Championships. The highest achievement of the athlete is the gold of the London Paralympics and bronze of the Paralympic Games in Rio 2016.
Alexander Nazarenko became a bronze medalist in the weight of -90 kg at the British Tatars He is the Vice-Champion of the Rio 2016 Paralympics. Both judoists won the silver of the team tournament in the national team of Ukraine on the last day of the competition. The children are trained by Anatoly Pirog and Mikhail Romankevich.
In addition to David Chorava and Alexander Nazarenko at the IBSA European Championships in Walsall, Ukrainians have won such medals: gold Yulia Galinskaya (-48 kg) and another representative of the Judo-80 sports club - Alexander Kosinov (-81 kg), silver Ludmila Lohatskaya (- 52 kg), bronze by Sergey Kotenko (-73 kg). Note that in the team tournament, our women added bronze to the set of silver of Ukrainian men.
