The updated Postal Square will be opened for Eurovision
Metropolitan Postal Square, one of Kiev's favorite holiday destinations, will be completely renovated and updated before the Eurovision. This was stated by the mayor of Kiev Vitali Klitschko.
Vitaliy Klitschko visited the Postal Square in Kyiv, having checked the state of repair work, and assured that its reconstruction would be completely completed by the beginning of May. According to the mayor, by May, when the capital of Ukraine will accept the Eurovision Song Contest, the construction of the square and its improvement will be completed.
Vitaliy Klitschko said that soon the Post Square would become one of the points of the tourist route that would extend from the arch of Friendship of Peoples to Podil. Tourists will also be able to use the river tram, which will launch in May.
From the innovative elements of the Postal Square, announced by the head of Kiev, will be a sculptural group depicting the founders of Kiev as a child. In the near future new communications networks will be laid in Podilskyi district and existing ones will be repaired.
According to Vitaliy Klitschko, the city authorities aim to transform Kiev into a modern comfortable European capital, expanding the tourist potential of the city.
