A group of pimps was detained in Kyiv region
Officers of the Directorate for Combating Trafficking in Together with Police and Prosecutors of the Boryspil Region, Special Forces Regiment and Peacemaker Regiment exposed and terminated the work of the criminal group, whose members were involved in extortion and territorial territory.
It was determined that the specified criminal group included 6 people. Its organizers, spouses from the Kiev region, have attracted more than 30 girls between the ages of 18 and 35 to work in the sex industry. The women provided their services in rented apartments, hotels, saunas and received monetary compensation in the amount of 1 to 2 500 thousand hryvnias per hour. More than half of the proceeds were donated to the organizers.
All members of the criminal group were detained “on hot”, in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, during the transfer of money for sexual services received.
During 10 authorized searches, law enforcement officers seized: weapons, ammunition, cash and notebooks with a list of clients and "black bookkeeping".
On this fact, the investigators opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 302 (creation or maintenance of places of fornication and extortion) and Part 2 of Article 303 (pimping or involvement of a person into prostitution) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
