Ukrainians no longer need visas to travel to Costa Rica
The Costa Rican leadership in Central America has abolished the visa regime for Ukrainians. From now on, for travelers who do not exceed the 90-day deadline, Ukrainians do not need to pre-apply for a visa.
According to a report from the consular department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, when traveling to Costa Rica it is enough to present a passport and pay a mandatory fee of $ 29. It should be noted that the validity of a passport for traveling abroad of any type at the time of departure from the country can not be less than 90 days. Compulsory levy payments will be monitored on departure from Costa Rica. The visa waiver for Ukrainian citizens has been in force since December 2016.
In addition, on December 15, the European Union Parliament approved the suspension of the visa-free regime between Ukraine and the EU. The decision is currently pending approval by the EU Council, which is the final step in Ukraine's visa-free travel. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reports that the final decision on granting visa waiver to Ukrainians is likely to be expected in spring 2017.
