The Roman couple allowed all priests to forgive the sin of abortion
Pope Francis extended the right for all priests of the Roman Catholic Church to commit the abortion sin indefinitely.
Previously, only bishops and special priests were eligible for this. The Roman couple made this statement in a document known as the Apostolic Letter.
Pope Francis stressed that abortion is a grave sin that puts the cross on innocent life, but God is merciful and forgives all who sincerely repent.
It is known that the Roman Catholic Church is very negative about abortion and its actions against such sinners are quite radical - excommunication.
Earlier, the Pope allowed the sin of abortion as part of the Year of Mercy in the Vatican, which ended on November 20.
