Greetings from aliens? Astronomers recorded a strange radio signal
Researchers from the Red Dot project were able to detect an unusual signal from the star under study.
In the course of observations of red dwarfs, scientists have discovered a radio flash that is different from all known natural types of radio waves. The constantly repeating signal came from star GJ 447.
Scientists do not reject the belief that the source of these signals may be processes in outer space, or flashes on the surface of the star.
Astronomers are now conducting repeated measurements to gather enough evidence to confirm or refute the alien origin of the signal. In addition, the scientists provided all the research materials to colleagues from the SETI Institute involved in the search for extraterrestrial civilizations.
