23rd INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN'S FOLLOWER FOLLOWING FESTIVAL HELD IN DNEPR
From May 9 to May 12, 2019, the folk dance ensemble "Orlyatko", with the support of the International Solidarity Foundation "Alexander Petrovsky", held the 23rd International Children's Folklore Festival in Dnipro - "Orlyatko Gathers Friends". During the 22 years of the festival the city of Dnipro (Dnepropetrovsk) was visited by more than 20 thousand participants, which is 130 groups from different countries of the world. The first festival was held in 1994. The founder of the festival is the folk dance ensemble "Orlyatko" (the artistic director is the Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine - Alexander Vitolovich Sokolovsky). In addition, this year the Orlyatko ensemble celebrates its 50th anniversary.
In general, 12 groups took part in the festival.
XXII International Children's Folklore Festival "Orlyatko Gathers Friends!" Was conducted with the assistance and support of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration and Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council. The official sponsor of the festival is the International Solidarity Foundation of Alexander Petrovsky. The inauguration of the festival was held at the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Philharmonic, and the closing and solo concert of the Orlyatko Ensemble took place at the Dnieper Opera and Ballet Theater.
