On January 12, the Abbot of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine celebrated the liturgy at the Nativity of Christ Church in Podolsk district of the capital. Two memorable dates were celebrated there - the temple feast and the 15th anniversary of the consecration.
The Archbishop of Rivne and Ostarsky Hilarion, Archbishop of Dniprovsky and Kryvyi Rih Simeon, the abbot of the parish priest Mykola Salabai, the clergy of the temple and the invited clergy participated in the commemoration of the local Orthodox Church.
In addition, Epiphany presented high awards for his services to the PCU. The so-called Cross of the Primate was received by the Superior of the parish of Archpriest Mykola Salabai, Archimandrite Kirion Inasaridze and Secretary of the Dnieper Diocese of Archpriest Vitaliy Lopushansky. The Blessed Bishop was honored with church awards by the church's benefactors, in particular, the head of the International Solidarity Foundation, Alexander Petrovsky.
His Beatitude congratulated all those present, and said that the new year would be a new step in the further joint work in building the Ukrainian Orthodox Church: “As the year lived by our Church shows, if we are God, then we are able to overcome various trials and obstacles. Again and again, I congratulate everyone on the glorious Christmas holiday and call on me to continue our prayer and zealous work to build the Ukrainian state and the Church. And the Lord, seeing our sincere aspirations, will always help us . ”
